There are three ways for you to acquire a work of modular art: you can design it yourself using our modular designs; you can purchase one of our ready-to-install artist-designed assemblies or wallpapers; or we can work directly with you to custom design a piece for a location you specify.

Read below to learn more about each option.

You Design It
You can design a work of ModulA.R.T. yourself by downloading image files from our website and then inserting selected modules into an application of your choice. You can copy, move, rotate, delete and align images as needed in many word processing, graphic design, presentation, computer drafting and imaging programs, including:

Adobe InDesign Microsoft Word
Adobe Illustrator OpenOffice
Adobe Photoshop Pages (mac)
AutoCAD Powerpoint
Curio (mac) Quark Xpress
Google Docs Sketchup
Intaglio (mac) VectorWorks
Keynote (mac)

Once you’ve arranged the modules as you want them in your piece, you should record the types of modules you’ve used and a quantity for each. Log into the website and go to the pages for your chosen modules and enter in the quantity. Proceed to check out when done.

Save the file with your design so that you can refer to it when you’re ready to install.

An alternative approach is to acquire an artist-designed assembly, which is a ready-to-install modular grouping composed by the same artist who designed the individual modules. Assemblies are available for all of the wall a.r.t. modules and selected series in the shelf a.r.t. portfolio. They can be viewed on the portfolio pages of our website.

You can also acquire an artist-designed assembly and then modify it to suit your context or personal tastes.

We Design It Together
Our design consultants can collaborate with you to create a custom piece for your site. Following an initial conversation we will ask you to provide us with a digital photograph of the proposed art wall or location. We will then prepare a cost estimate for the project for your approval. Design can take place on-site or through live onscreen sessions depending on location and other circumstances. Please contact us at us@art-rethought.com to initiate the process.
