ASSEMBLY AND INSTALLATION

Material and Dimensional Variation
Since many of our pieces involve colored or natural materials, and because the onscreen and printed images of materials are only representations of the actual product, we suggest you obtain material samples for wall a.r.t. modules or swatches for mural a.r.t. designs if you have specific requirements or concerns. The cost of purchasing these sample materials from A.R.T. will be credited to your first purchase of artwork.
Natural materials typically vary in their grain patterns, color, texture and other characteristics from one batch to the next. As a result you should allow for a reasonable range of material variation within and among orders involving natural materials. Similarly, printed materials are run in dye lots, which can result in variations of color among pieces produced in different lots.
Dimensions indicated on our website and in our portfolios and catalogues have been rounded for simplicity. Exact dimensions may vary for actual assembled and installed pieces.

ORDERING
How To Purchase A.R.T. Work
Collectors can purchase artwork through our website. Go to the page showing the piece you wish to purchase and indicate the number of units you want to acquire in the quantity field. Then click ‘Add to cart’ to place the items in your a.r.t. cart. You can continue to browse the website until you’re ready to finalize your purchase using our secure checkout system. Clicking on the link ‘a.r.t. cart’ in the menu bar at any time will allow you to review your order and proceed with the checkout process if you choose.
Collectors can also purchase artwork at art fairs, pop-up stores and other venues or events that A.R.T. participates in. To receive information about these opportunities, please join our mailing list and visit our website for regular updates.
Fabrication Time
Because all artwork is made to order, fabrication time will vary among pieces and from order to order. Below are some general guidelines for calculating the time it will take to fabricate an order once it’s placed. Please note that ‘days’ are figured as business days, which excludes any intervening weekends and holidays.
Portfolio Fabrication Time
Mural A.r.t. 3 – 5 days
Shelf A.r.t. 10 – 15 days
Wall A.r.t. 15 – 20 days
The total time to receive your order once it’s purchased will be the sum of fabrication time and shipping time.

SHIPPING
Shipping Confirmation
Upon shipment of your order, we will send you an e-mail confirming your shipment, including tracking information where applicable.
Shipping Charges
Shipping charges for orders can vary depending on the contents of the order as well as the destination. Continental US shipping charges are indicated in your a.r.t. cart on checkout. For international orders outside this region please send us the details of your order prior to checkout via email for a quote.
International Duties
For some international orders you may be required to pay local or national import duties or taxes to your carrier or local customs agency. We have no means to determine in advance if you will be charged or what these charged will amount to. We suggest you research and contact your local customs bureau in advance of placing an international order to determine if any additional duties might be required. Duties and taxes are the sole responsibility of the recipient; items may not be returned because of such charges.
Shipping Times
Shipping time to the continental US will vary depending on the items ordered, the carrier and the type of shipping service used. Below are some general guidelines for calculating the time it will take to ship an item after it’s been fabricated. Please note that ‘days’ are figured as business days, which excludes any intervening weekends and holidays.

Delays
We ask that you wait until the end of the estimated shipping time range before you inquire with us about the status of an undelivered order. There are several common reasons a delivery is delayed, and in many of these cases the original shipment is returned to our fulfillment center.
These reasons include:
Incorrect or invalid shipping address
Recipient unavailable to receive delivery
Shipment damaged or destroyed in transit
In any of these cases we will contact you immediately in order to determine new arrangements for delivering the order.
Lost Shipments
If you believe that your shipment has been lost, please contact us and we will help determine if it is lost or only delayed. If it is lost, a replacement order will be processed and shipped immediately. We cannot track or trace international shipments, therefore we cannot deem them lost until 60 days after the shipping date. When 60 days has passed, an insurance claim will be filed and a replacement shipment will go out immediately, at no additional charge.
Shipments Damaged by Carrier
All our pieces are carefully inspected for damage before they are shipped from our fulfillment facility. If you receive damaged items then it is likely that they were damaged after they left our facility. In the event you receive damaged items, please contact us immediately via email. If it is determined that the art was damaged upon receipt, you will receive a replacement order. Your new order will take the same time to produce and ship as the original.

RETURNS
Return Policy
Our return policy varies with the type of art purchased. Please note that in all cases shipping charges for returns or the original order are non-refundable and non-creditable. To ensure a successful ordering process we highly recommend that you carefully check your order for accuracy before confirming your purchases.
In addition, it’s important to understand the potential for variation in material characteristics and size among the different products used to fabricate our pieces. See Material and Dimensional Variations below for further information.
Mural A.R.T.
Our artist’s wallpapers are printed on demand and in dye lots. As a result we cannot cancel orders, accept returns or provide refunds on these pieces except in the event the items are damaged in transit. Please follow the instructions for replacing them as explained here.
We will replace any items delivered to you if they are not as specified in your order. Please contact us via email within 5 days of receipt if you receive any items in error.
Shelf A.R.T.
Our artist’s books are printed on demand and in dye lots. As a result we cannot cancel orders, accept returns or provide refunds on these books for reasons other than as noted below.
If you receive a book that is internally damaged or is constructed in error (missing, torn, or loose pages, etc.) other than damages caused by the carrier, or is not as specified in your order, we are happy to provide a replacement copy. Please notify us via email.
If you receive a book that has been damaged in transit, please follow the instructions for replacing them as explained here.
We will replace any items delivered to you if they are not as specified in your order. Please contact us via email within 5 days of receipt if you receive any items in error.
Wall A.R.T.
Our wall a.r.t. pieces are made on demand, which means that materials are ordered by the fabricator soon after a purchase is submitted to our website. To avoid unnecessary costs to any party, once you have placed an order it may not be cancelled without our agreement. Agreement may depend in part on the stage to which your order has progressed. A cancellation fee of costs incurred or $25.00 may apply.
We will replace any items delivered to you if they are not as specified in your order. Please contact us via email within 5 days of receipt if you receive any items in error.
Regretfully, we are unable to refund or replace items from the wall a.r.t. portfolio because of dissatisfaction with your choice of materials, the assembly process, because the pieces don't turn out as you expect, or reasons other than as noted above.
Return Authorization
You must obtain return authorization prior to shipping an item back to us for a refund or exchange. This will allow our customer service team to provide you with proper return instructions as well as updating your order record. Please email us to obtain authorization.
Liability Policy

A.R.T. is not liable or responsible for any injury, loss, damage, liability, debt, cost, expense, charge or fee of whatever nature, incurred or suffered by you whether direct or indirect, incidental or consequential, or in any other manner, in connection with the purchase, delivery, installation, use, operation or any resale of its art.
